Over five weeks, you’ll master the intricate art of creating a luxury tweed jacket — from personalized pattern drafting to signature Chanel finishing techniques.

​Each student will design and construct a custom-fitted couture jacket that reflects the essence of Chanel: a soft quilted structure, refined detailing, and effortless sophistication.

Pattern Drafting & Customization
• Create a made-to-measure jacket pattern tailored to your own measurements.

​Fitting & Adjustments
• Refine body proportions and achieve a perfect couture silhouette.

​Couture Construction Techniques
• Learn the signature Chanel hand-quilting method that joins the lining to the outer fabric, creating the signature supple structure.

​Finishing Details
• Master trim application, button placement, sleeve vents, and chain hemming — hallmarks of a true Chanel jacket.

​Pressing & Presentation
• Professional pressing, hand-finishing, and lining closure for a polished, couture-quality result.

Materials to Bring

• Tweed fabric: 1.5–1.7 m — 100% wool preferred, or a blend containing at least 50% wool
• Lining fabric: 1.5–1.7 m — 100% silk recommended
• Buttons, chains, and decorative trims — to be discussed during the first class
