Give your child the gift of creativity with this fun, hands-on sewing program! Over 8 exciting weeks, kids will learn sewing step-by-step while creating useful and adorable projects they’ll be proud to bring home.

What They’ll Learn

• Safe and confident sewing machine operation

• Basic stitching, cutting, and pinning techniques

• Introductory pattern work, hand embroidery, and embellishing

• Practical sewing skills through guided weekly projects

Weekly Projects & Schedule

 Week 1 — 10:00 AM–12:30 PM

Meet Your Machine & Scrunchies or Fidget toy 

Learn the basics of sewing machine control and practice stitches. Create colorful fidget toy , stretchy scrunchies.

Week 2 — 10:00 AM–12:30 PM

Drawstring Backpack or  Tote bag 

Sew your own lightweight and functional backpack.

 Week 3 — 10:00 AM–12:30 PM

Stuffed animal or Small Fabrics Basket 

Make a stuffed toy or fabrics backet for school stationary using seasonal fabrics.

 Week 4 — 10:00 AM–12:30 PM

Intro to Hand Embroidery

Learn basic hand-stitching techniques and practice on a mini hoop.

 Week 5 — 10:00 AM–12:30 PM

Apron Project, Part 1

Cutting, assembling, and sewing the base of the apron.

 Week 6 — 10:00 AM–12:30 PM

Apron Project, Part 2

Add ruffles, pockets, and finishing details.

Week 7 — 10:00 AM–12:30 PM

First wearable garment Part 1

Pajama Pants/shorts , or Elastic waistband skirt

Cutting, assembling, and sewing the main structure.

Week 8 — 10:00 AM–12:30 PM

Part 2

Add details, finish seams, and steam your project.

Fashion show for parents at the end of the course.

What to Bring

Parents, please provide snacks and drinks for your child.

ADITIONALY :

Students are required to bring own fabrics for the apron , pj pants or shorts, or skirt.

The amount of the fabrics needed for apron, pants/shorts, skirt will be discussed with the students during the first-second class . Based on their projects choices and individual sizes, parents will be given the required fabrics quantities to shop for.

Sewing machines, tools, fabrics, embroidery floss, stuffing, patterns, and all basic notions.

 Please note: The program may be slightly adjusted depending on seasonal themes and the general capability of the   students. Class duration may occasionally extend by up to 30 minutes.

Photo and Video Consent

La Couture Sewing School may take photos and videos during classes for educational and promotional purposes. By registering for our programs, students agree that their participation may appear in these materials, which may be used on our website, social media accounts, and marketing platforms.

If you have any questions or prefer not to be included, please inform us before your class.

This is a group sewing class with limited class time. Students must be able to  use the ruler to follow simple verbal and visual instructions, stay focused on a task, understand basic measurements, and work independently for short periods of time.

The instructor provides guidance and assistance to all students, but continuous one-on-one support cannot be provided in a group setting.

If your child requires frequent redirection, individual supervision, or significant additional learning support, please contact us before registering so we can determine whether this class is an appropriate fit.
