Learn how to sew from scratch in this supportive, hands-on program designed for absolute beginners.

Over six weeks, you’ll learn essential sewing skills while completing practical projects. Each class introduces new techniques and builds your confidence using a sewing machine.

By the end of the program, you’ll have created several accessories and your own cozy bathrobe.

Class duration: 2.5–3 hours per week.

What You’ll Learn

• Sewing machine operation

• Basic stitching, cutting, and pressing techniques

• Working with elastic, straps, drawstrings, and zippers

• Basic garment pattern understanding

Week 1 – Coaster (machine basics)

Week 2 – Tote Bag

Week 3 – Zipper Makeup Bag

Week 4 – Bathrobe (construction)

Week 5 – Bathrobe (finishing)

Week 6 – Alterations & Mending Intro

What’s Included

All sewing machines, tools, patterns, and basic materials are provided.

Students will need to bring fabric for the bathrobe project (Weeks 5–6). Fabric recommendations will be discussed in class.

Spots are limited — early registration is recommended.
