About the Program

This hands-on hand embroidery program introduces children to the art of stitching in a relaxed, supportive, and creative environment. Over three engaging days, students will explore embroidery tools, learn essential stitches, and complete beautiful projects they’ll be proud to take home.

The focus is on confidence, creativity, and enjoying the process while building fine motor skills and patience.

What They’ll Learn

• Safe use of hand embroidery tools and materials• How to set up fabric in an embroidery hoop• Threading needles and starting/finishing stitches• Basic embroidery stitches: running stitch, backstitch, satin stitch• Stitch control, neatness, and simple design composition

Daily Schedule & Projects

Day 1 — Introduction to Hand Embroidery Focus: Basics, exploration, and confidence Students are introduced to embroidery hoops, fabric, floss, and needles, along with basic safety rules. They’ll practice fundamental stitches through playful lines, shapes, letters, and simple motifs such as flowers and stars.

Day 2 — Embroidery Project I Focus: Guided project and stitch development Children work on their first embroidery project using a prepared pattern. Projects may include a floral or nature-inspired design, initials, or decorative motifs. This class emphasizes patience, stitch consistency, and following a pattern step by step.

Day 3 — Embroidery Project II Focus: Creative expression and finishing Students complete a second embroidery project or continue developing a more detailed design. They’ll learn how to add simple texture, secure stitches neatly, and present their finished work.

At the End of the Program, Each Child Will Leave With
